The children's ministry team at First Presbyterian seeks to lead God's children into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through Biblically-based educational opportunities which support life-long learning and discipleship. We seek to do this through attentive prayer, relevant teaching, and authentic fellowship.
Our youth ministry is a place where students in grades 7-12 can learn about their faith in ways that are relevent to their lives. During the course of the year we will meet in both large and small groups, serve our church and the community, reach out to our friends, have more fun then we can imagine and experience the love of Christ! We always have a lot going on. Check out our calendar and come and join us sometime. We would love to see you!
The Recreation Center is an outreach ministry of First Presbyterian Church of New Castle. The Recreation Center offers a friendly, safe, Christian-oriented gathering place for those 55 and older in the downtown community. Friendship, opportunities for service, spiritual development and worship along with healthy meals twice weekly, exercise, group outings, and other recreational activities offer a wide variety of opportunities for both men and women. The members meet three days a week, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 9 AM until 4 PM, in this centrally located area to join their peers for fellowship and fun!
In most homes the dinner table sits at the center of the kitchen. Everything revolves around the table: conversations, prayers, listening to each other’s experiences, love and support. The kitchen provides sustenance for body and soul.
All are WELCOME!! Free Lunch the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11:30 AM -1 PM. Fellowship and good food. Families come. Senior citizens come. All are truly welcomed at what has become a tradition in downtown New Castle.
We always welcome new choir members who desire to share their love of music and our Lord.My goal is to have our music ministry filled with dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who come together in Christ’s love to bring Him glory not only on Sunday mornings, but throughout the week, and in all areas of our lives.

Jesus is the most courageous, masculine man who ever walked on earth. The goal of Men's Fellowship at First Presbyterian Church is to encourage all men and boys to look to, and pattern their lives after Jesus Christ. Through monthly fellowship gatherings, retreats, prayer, and study of Scripture, all men at First Presbyterian Church will grow in grace to be responsible examples of Christ in their homes, relationships, work places, and social settings.
Stewardship is holding something in trust for another. It is the willingness to be accountable to God, our Father, in service, rather than in control of the things and people around us.Stewardship springs from a set of values which recognizes that whether it is your time, your talent, or your treasures, everything is a gift from God!
